จุดเริ่มต้นของ TBAN เกิดจากผู้เข้าอบรมหลักสูตร QBAC+ (Qualified Angel Investor Certificate) ซึ่งเป็นหลักสูตรของ WBAF Business school (Business school ของ World Business Angel Investment Forum) และเขตอุตสาหกรรมซอฟต์แวร์ประเทศไทย
ความเป็นมา
TBAN คือ การรวมตัวกันของกลุ่ม angel investor ที่ใช้เงินทุนส่วนตัวในการลงทุนธุรกิจสตาร์ทอัพ จุดเริ่มต้นของ TBAN เกิดจากผู้เข้าอบรมหลักสูตร QBAC+ (Qualified Angel Investor Certificate) ซึ่งเป็นหลักสูตรของ WBAF Business school (Business school ของ World Business Angel Investment Forum) และเขตอุตสาหกรรมซอฟต์แวร์ประเทศไทย QBAC+ จัดขึ้นครั้งแรกในเดือนพฤศจิกายน 2020 ผู้เข้าอบรมรุ่นแรกของหลักสูตรนี้ในประเทศไทยจำนวน 11 คน จากทั้งหมด 28 คน ได้จับมือร่วมกันก่อตั้ง TBAN ขึ้น นอกเหนือจากการเป็นเครือข่ายในประเทศแล้ว ยังเป็นพันธมิตรกับ WBAF ซึ่งเป็นเครือข่ายที่เชื่องโยงกับ Business angel network (BAN) ในต่างประเทศด้วย
วัตถุประสงค์ของ TBAN
เป็นผู้ประสานงานเชื่อมโยงเครือข่ายระหว่างกลุ่มนักลงทุน ทำให้การลงทุนมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้น ลดความเสี่ยง เพิ่มอำนาจต่อรอง และสนับสนุนสตาร์ทอัพ ช่วยจับคู่สร้างพันธะสัญญาร่วมกันระหว่างนักลงุทนและสตาร์ทอัพ
